How we handle personal information on this website and in Unitello, our resident app. Effective October 15, 2026.

Who we are

Eleven14 Properties rents residential apartments in Nova Scotia. Questions about this policy go to .

This website

The tour, listing alert, partner and application forms open a pre-written email in your own email app. Nothing you type is sent to or stored on our web server. Favourites you save on the Apartments page stay in your browser and are never sent to us. The site does not use advertising or tracking cookies.

The Unitello app

Residents and our staff use Unitello, in the app or at 1114.ca/unitello, for maintenance and rent. When you use it we collect:

  • your name, email address and, if you give it, your mobile number;
  • the unit you live in;
  • the maintenance requests you send, including descriptions, any photos you choose to attach, whether we may enter when you are out, and the messages on each request;
  • your rent charges and the payments we record against them;
  • a notification token for your phone, so we can send you alerts.

The app does not collect your location, contacts or browsing activity, and it has no advertising or analytics.

How we use it

Only to look after your home and tenancy: to log and arrange repairs, to keep track of rent, to contact you, to send you updates, and to keep records for the property. We do not sell personal information or use it for marketing.

Who can see it

Your requests are seen by you, by the owner, and by the staff or trades assigned to your unit. Your rent records are seen by you and our owners and property managers. We use service providers to run the app: Google Firebase stores the app’s data, Expo delivers push notifications, and our email provider sends email copies of alerts to staff. These providers may process data outside Canada, including in the United States. We do not otherwise share your information unless the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Maintenance records are part of the property’s history, so we keep them for as long as we need them for property records, generally up to seven years after a tenancy ends. You can delete your account at any time under Account in the app. This removes your login, contact details and alerts. Past requests stay on file without your login attached.

Your choices

You can update your name and phone number in the app, and turn push or email alerts on or off. To see or correct the information we hold about you, or to have it deleted, email us. If you are not satisfied with our answer you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Children

The app is for adult residents and our staff. It is not meant for children under 16.

Changes

If we change this policy we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
